Burmese pro-democracy leader Aung San Suu
Kyi has made a plea for the world’s press to keep the spotlight on Burma
in the BBC’s first broadcast from its new London studios.
During
the Burmese Service transmission from Broadcasting House, she said:

Aung San Suu Kyi
“We must remember there is such a thing as censorship in the country.”
