China hopes Myanmar will maintain
stability, a Foreign Ministry spokesman said here on Friday.
Spokesman Hong Lei said at a daily
press briefing China and Myanmar are friendly neighbors as he
answered a question on the renewed sectarian riots occurred in six
townships in Myanmar's western Rakhine state.
The starting point of China-Myanmar
oil and natural gas pipelines project is located in the Rakhine
state.
At least 112 people have been
killed and 72 others injured in the riots over the past five days,
